The Sweet House

I once knew a girl, who lived in a house,
The house was made out of sweets.
The smell was delicious, but not so nutritious,
This house, made out of treats.

The floor was made from chocolate,
The couch from jellied eggs,
The bed was made from liquorice
The table had lollipop legs.

The windows were made from biscuits,
The doors from cola cubes.
The ceiling was made from sherbet,
The lamp from a smartie tube.

The trees were made from love hearts,
The flowers from cherry drops,
The fence was made from polo mints,
The gate from candy rocks.

The cold weather turned and summer arrived,
The sweet house started to melt.
All of the sweets, rolled into a ball,
The girl! Do you know how she felt?

Delighted at the very sight,
She thought it was a dream.
Now she could lick the sweet house,
As though it were ice-cream!
