Goo was a one-eyed monster,
Who lived all alone in a cave.
No-one ever saw him,
No-one was that brave.
Green in colour, a hairy chin,
A nose just like a pig,
His ears were oh so very small,
The size of his head? It was big!
One day little Lucy, visited Goo,
To see what the fuss was about.
She wasn’t shocked, she wasn’t scared,
Monster Goo sniffed with his snout.
‘One-eyed monster! Come out, come out’,
She ordered with delight.
But when monster Goo came to the door,
She started to cry with fright!
She hurled an egg, which hit his face,
Cracking next to his seeing eye.
Looking to see what she
had done,
Lucy looked up to the sky.
The one-eyed monster caught his sight,
In the pond beneath the rise.
The broken egg had made him look,
Like he had two eyes.
Little Lucy stood in awe,
As she watched the monster smile.
Something that the monster Goo,
Hadn’t done for quite a while.
Not only did the pair make friends,
They loved each other too.
So, every day Little Lucy threw.
An egg at monster Goo.
